Prevention Strategies for Adolescents at Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

A pilot study across five European countries

This is a 24 month project funded by the European Commission involving the UK, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Greece. The project is split into two phases.

The first phase is to develop a tool for the identification of adolescents aged 12-14 years who are at increased risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes in the future.

The second phase is the development and evaluation of a lifestyle intervention for 12-14 year old adolescents who may be at an increased risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes in the future.
